Urban ASAK opens Vegas trip with upset over New York Jayhawks

Caleb Golden scored 14 points to lead Urban ASAK to an opening victory in Las Vegas against the New York Jayhawks, 58-57.

The team played without Brock Cunningham, who is out with an illness.

Shasirae Harvey scored 10 points and dished out six assists, while coming up with five steals on the defensive side of the ball. Jayden Martinez held his own down low, grabbing 10 rebounds (five offensive) to go with his five points and two blocks.

Dillon Gooding went 2-3 from downtown and finished the game with 11 points and two steals. Darius McBride and Kiron Griffin each added seven points.

Urban ASAK forced the Jayhawks to commit 22 turnovers, and the team generated 23 points off those missteps. The Jayhawks only hit one three-pointer during the game.

Next up, ASAK will take on Stackhouse Elite tomorrow at 5:20 p.m. in at the Cashman Center in Las Vegas.
